1. Gauge-to-tensile mismatch

A 20-22 gauge coil ordered for rebar tying needs 350-400 MPa. The same gauge sourced at the low end of that range will feel identical on the spool but snap under the tying gun’s twist tension in the field.

If overlooked: wire breaks mid-tie on site, tying crews lose output, and the failure is blamed on the machine rather than the coil.
2. Zinc coating matched to environment, not just spec sheet

10 g/m² is adequate for short-cycle indoor packaging wire. Outdoor fencing or coastal-region mesh needs coating well above 200 g/m² to avoid red rust within the first storage season.

If overlooked: rust appears in the warehouse before the product is even installed, and the buyer absorbs a claim the mill never sees.
3. Weight and diameter tolerance for billing accuracy

Coils sold by weight (500 g to 2 tons across our range) must hold diameter tolerance consistently — a thinner-than-spec wire delivers more length per kilogram, which changes the buyer’s real cost per meter without changing the invoice.
